Ex-US Treasury chief Lew to deliver keynote at Asian Financial ForumHong Kong | Jan 12, 2018 18:32
Among the keynote speakers at the forum are US former US Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew, (pictured), who served during the second term of former US President Barack Obama. Lew served until January 2017.
He later joined, Lindsay Goldberg, a leading private investment firm as a partner, focusing on investments across sectors, institutional relationships and firm management.
The annual forum, hosted by the Hong Kong Government and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council is being held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on Monday and Tuesday, under the theme "Steering Growth and Pioneering Innovation: Asia and Beyond.''
Topics to be discussed at the forum include the state of the global economy, Asia's market opportunities, financial technology and innovation in banking.
Speakers will include the first deputy managing director of the International Monetary Fund, David Lipton; the vice chairman and president, China Investment Corporation, Tu Guangshao; the president and chairman of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Jin Liqun; the chairman of China Development Bank, Hu Huaibang; the vice chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, Dr Jiang Yang; Luxembourg Finance Minister, Pierre Gramegna, and Australia's Revenue and Financial Services Minister Kelly O'Dwyer.
Also among the speakers are, the Slovak Republic Finance Minister, Mr Peter Kažimír and the chair of the European Securities and Markets Authority, Steven Maijoor.
The director of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab and Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, MIT, Professor Daniela Rus, will also deliver keynote speech.
