Activist keeps options open, saddened by jail terms for Mong Kok clashes

Hong Kong | Mar 20, 2017 14:12
A localism leader said the recent jailing of three people over the Mong Kok clashes last year will lead to activists being more cautious in future protests, but he said violent tactic remains an option.
The former president of the Chinese University's students union, Chow Shue-fung, said the localist camp would still adopt violent tactics if there is a real chance that could bring about changes to the current political environment.
Chow told an RTHK program that he was saddened by the three-year prison terms given to two men and a woman who were convicted of rioting during the Lunar New Year violence in 2016.
