Vietjet announces five-year growth plan

Low-cost Vietnamese carrier Vietjet said today it will undertake a five-year plan for sustainable growth beginning this year.
The plan was announced at the annual shareholders’ meeting of the Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company in Ho Chi Minh City.
The program involves investments to improve internal human resources; protecting the environment; corporate social responsibilities; complementing national tourism development strategy; promoting local economic development; popularizing cultural practices and aviation civilization among passengers and in the community.
The airline reported turnover increased by 38.6 percent toUS$1.21 billion, while after-tax profit grew by 113.2 percent to US$109 million. Earnings per share stood at 42 US cents.
