Power couple deny resignation planCentral Station | Mar 21, 2017
Thomas Chow Tat-ming, permanent secretary for the civil service, and his wife, Elizabeth Tse Man-yee, permanent secretary for financial services and the treasury, denied speculation they would quit in the event Lam wins.
Chow responded to rumors that Lam, described as a "control freak," had made his wife cry and that he and his wife were the two high-ranking civil servants considering resigning
"Civil servants are professionals. We stick to our duties at all times. This will not change with the term of government or when a new chief comes into office," he said.
He refused to comment though on his relationship with Lam, saying she is a CE candidate.
