West Ham star stands with goalkeeper Hart

Sports | Jul 18, 2017
England and Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has been "hard done by," West Ham captain Mark Noble said amid reports linking the shot-stopper with a loan move to the London club.

In a career spanning 10 years Hart has made 348 appearances for the Premier League club and has 71 England caps.

But the 30-year-old is not City manager Pep Guardiola's first-choice goalkeeper and spent last season on loan at Italian Serie A side Torino.

Noble said competition for a starting spot will obviously increase if Hart arrives at West Ham and contends with Adrian and Darren Randolph.

He added: "I've known Joe for a long time. We played for England under-21s together years ago. In my opinion he's been a little bit hard done by in recent years. He's been fantastic for England and for his club and probably deserves more respect."

Reports yesterday were that Hart was set for a medical check at West Ham and was close to a deal.
