Black day looms for Trump on abuse claims

Central Station | Jan 12, 2018
President Donald Trump may find himself in an embarrassing situation when he delivers his first State of the Union Address before the US Congress on January 30.

Some Democratic congresswomen plan to wear black to show solidarity with survivors of sexual violence and other sexual malpractices in Hollywood, politics and across the country. Their move also supports the "MeToo" movement which opposes sexual harassment, said Democrat Jackie Speier. She and other Democrats urged other lawmakers "to wear black to this year's #SOTU in solidarity w/ survivors of sexual harassment/violence."

Trump himself has been the subject of sexual misconduct complaints and about 60 female Democratic lawmakers sought last month a Congress probe into them.

About 20 women have publicly accused Trump of misconduct.
